Starnes-Ott Named Senior VP, Dean of SON, Nursing Workforce Pipeline Development for the UTMB Health System

I am excited to share that Kristen Starnes-Ott, PhD, CRNA, FAANA, FNAP, has accepted the role of Senior Vice President, Dean of the UTMB School of Nursing (SON), and Nursing Workforce Pipeline Development for the UTMB Health System, effective June 15, 2026.

SON Senior VP and Dean to Depart, Accepts President Role at MGH Institute of Health Professions

Deborah J. Jones, PhD, MSN, RN, FAAN, will depart UTMB to take on an exciting and significant new role as President of the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Institute of Health Professions. Her last day at UTMB will be Jan. 16, 2026.
UTMB Educators Take Top Honors at TEACH-S Educational Symposium

UTMB was well represented at the TEACH-S Educational Symposium, with three UTMB posters receiving the top awards. This event provides a forum for showcasing scholarly innovations of the regional community of educators.
Two Receive Roberto Logroño, MD, Award for Professionalism in Health Care

Congratulations to two individuals who received the 2023 Roberto Logroño, MD, Award for Professionalism in Health Care: Christen Sadler, MSN, RN, CNM, CNE; and Pooja Agrawal. Both awardees were recognized May 15, 2023.
