A Message from the Senior Vice President & Provost (interim), Academic Enterprise
Dear colleagues,
I am elated to congratulate our Health Education Center (HEC) team on achieving additional levels of accreditation in Human Simulation and Research from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH).
These new distinctions build upon the HEC’s 2024 SSH accreditations in Assessment and Teaching/Education, further highlighting the HEC’s commitment to excellence.
Recognized as the gold standard in healthcare simulation, SSH accreditation represents the highest level of quality and rigor in the field. With these latest achievements, UTMB proudly joins an elite group of institutions nationwide recognized for their exceptional practices in healthcare simulation.
Special recognition goes to Dr. Katie Branch, Vice President for Interprofessional Education and the Health Education Center, and Dr. Erin McGoff, Assistant Vice President of the Health Education Center and Simulation. Their leadership, expertise, and dedication have been instrumental in advancing UTMB’s simulation programs and achieving this distinguished honor.
Please join me in celebrating this remarkable accomplishment and in recognizing the entire HEC team for their continued dedication to advancing the field through simulation, education, research, and collaboration.
Sincerely,
Susan Chubinskaya, PhD, MS
