Soham Al Snih, MD, PhD, was honored with the Top Faculty Researcher Award at the first John Sealy School of Medicine WE Summit in October 2022. Dr. Al Snih was selected for most scholarly products, publications, and presentations for medical students
produced in 2019-2022.
She is a Senior Fellow of the Sealy Center on Aging and recently received the Graduate Student Organization Distinguished Teaching Award. Dr. Al Snih is the Principal Investigator of the NIA-R01 Long-term Health Outcomes in Mexican American Older Adults
and Co-I of the Hispanic Established Population for the Epidemiological Study of the Elderly. Her research examines health outcomes using large datasets focusing on functional outcomes, muscle strength, disability, frailty, and health disparities
in older adults.
