About the Presentation
Little is known about how to keep rural older adults engaged in muscle-strengthening activities over the long term, despite the important role these activities play in health, mobility, independence, and longevity.
Joey Saavedra, PhD, a Postdoctoral Fellow with UTMB's Texas Age Tech initiative, is developing a pilot research study to explore whether technology can help support sustained muscle-strengthening behaviors among rural older adults.
During this interactive OLLI session, attendees will learn about the proposed study and have the opportunity to provide valuable feedback that can help improve the study's design, approach, and scientific rigor.
Community perspectives are welcome and encouraged.
