Ryda M. Hendawi, MDOncology fellow

Hey there! I’m Ryda, an MD deeply passionate about the wonders of science, I am particularly interested in genomics and precision medicine, as I believe they hold the key to the future of healthcare. I have an interest in bioinformatics and comparative genomics. The human genome project is absolutely fascinating to me. My research will focus on integrating single cell multi-omics datasets to help understand how genomic structural changes can lead to cancer. I am currently pursuing my dream of becoming a cancer doctor through dedicated training in medical oncology at UTMB.

When I’m not busy saving the world one cell at a time, Soccer is my ultimate love – whether cheering for my favorite teams or playing on the field myself. Traveling is my true passion, as it allows me to immerse myself in new cultures and broaden my perspective on life.
