Dr. Charlotte Royeen is an accomplished occupational therapist, educator, researcher, and academic leader with extensive experience in higher education and academic administration. She earned her master’s degree in occupational therapy from Washington University School of Medicine and her PhD from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Prior to joining UTMB, she served as Dean of the College of Health Sciences at RUSH University.
Her career has included roles as a faculty member, department chair, associate dean for research, and dean, with a strong focus on faculty mentorship, student success, research, and academic program development.
Dr. Royeen is nationally recognized for her contributions to occupational therapy and was named by the American Occupational Therapy Association as one of the 100 most influential occupational therapists.
