Ancillary Services: Surplus Property
The UTMB Surplus Property Warehouse is responsible for the transfer, storage, and ultimate disposition of furniture and equipment that are surplus to the needs of the university.
Our primary objective is to return property that has been declared surplus back to UTMB departments, other state agencies, local Texas Independent School Districts, and certain nonprofit organizations. Surplus property that is not reclaimed is then sold in a public online auction.
When making Departmental Deliveries to the Surplus Warehouse, please schedule a drop-off time with the Surplus Warehouse personnel at ext. 25337 prior to submitting an e-SEW form online. Please print out the e-SEW and bring a copy with you. Please do the same for any Contract (EDM) moves. All modular furniture must be disassembled and removed by contract movers. Unscheduled deliveries and deliveries without the proper paperwork will be turned away at the door.
The UTMB Surplus Warehouse personnel accept no liabilities for any inadvertent infrastructure damages (i.e. marred floor surfaces, scuffed walls, cracked tile, etc.) during the removal of equipment.
