 Vaccination
has proven to be the most effective global strategy for prevention of
infectious diseases. Vaccinology, the rapidly evolving science of vaccines,
holds great promise in further improving human health. By facilitating
interdisciplinary collaborations in the areas of research, policy, and
education, the Sealy Center for Vaccine Development (SCVD) has become one
of the most comprehensive vaccine centers in the United States. As such, we
will provide leadership in the development and use of vaccines in our
efforts to promote health and well-being.
