The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) School of Public and Population Health (SPPH) is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), and independent agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit schools and programs of public health.
On June 5-7, 2023, UTMB SPPH hosted its first CEPH accreditation site visit as a school. The UTMB public health program had been accredited by CEPH since 2002. In December 2023, SPPH received accreditation for the full five-year term as a new unit of
