Bruce Niebuhr, PhDAdjunct Member
Dr. Niebuhr is retired and currently is Adjunct Professor in the Department of Pediatrics. Formerly, he was faculty in the Departments of Physician Assistant studies and Preventive Medicine and Community Health. He served as UTMB Director of Distance
Education and as Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Health and Medicine representative of the Texas Distance Learning Association. His PhD (1976) is from Southern Illinois University, in Experimental Psychology with concentrations in Learning
and Quantitative Methods and he has a certificate in Distance Education Administration from the University of West Georgia (2006). In 2008, D. Niebuhr was inducted into the Academy of Master Teachers.
His current interests include technology for teaching and serving as statistical consultant for pediatric residents’ research projects.
