New CHPPRR Center Operations Director

Judith Linton PT, MS joins CHPPRR as its new Center Operations Director

The Center for Health Promotion, Performance, and Rehabilitation Research are pleased to announce that Judi Linton, PT, MS has joined the center as the new Center Operations Director. In this role, she will provide the day-to-day management of CHPPRR including the development and management of the operating budget; pre-approval, oversight, and post-approval monitoring of CHPPRR funded projects; management and allocation of CHPPRR resources; and managing the research operations within CHPPRR. Judi is also responsible for promoting and visualizing the strategic mission and vision of CHPPRR.

Judi received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. Prior to working at UTMB, Judi worked at Shriners Hospitals for Children for the past 20 years as a physical therapist in the Motion Analysis Center and most recently as the Manager of Research Operations. She also has experience in the academic setting as the Coordinator of the Physical Therapist Assistant Program in the Lone Star Community College System (formerly Montgomery College). Judi’s areas of research interest include adolescent sports medicine, pediatric neuromuscular and neurological disorders, and orthopedics.
