Dr. Suresh Bhavnani was featured in a live interview on KPFT Houston’s Growing Up in America: The Way It Is, where he discussed his work on “Precision Policies.” He explained how human-centered AI can help transform fragmented safety-net programs into more targeted, interpretable, and responsive systems that better address the real-world needs of individuals and families.
Dr. Suresh Bhavnani has received his third educator award from UTMB’s Academy of Master Teachers for his course Introduction to Visual Analytics in Healthcare. The recognition highlights his innovative approach to integrating data science, AI, visualization, and principles from art and human cognition to help students interpret complex biomedical data and develop new ways of thinking about science.
Dr. Engel organized and participated in a roundtable at this year's annual meeting of the History of Science Society, held jointly with the European Society for the History of Science in Edinburgh, Scotland.
