Building Future Nursing Leaders, Enhancing Global Impact

School of Nursing faculty members Drs. Zach Carson and Kathleen Murphy, and Professor Christen Sadler led a student trip to Belize, providing immersive, hands-on global health experience through a long-standing partnership with Hillside Health Care.

The trip offered an opportunity for the BSN students to fulfill their Population Health clinical experience in a resource-limited setting. Students assisted with clinic operations, conduct health fairs, and even lead staff development sessions. In just one week, they build cross-cultural competencies that will shape the rest of their careers.

Only six students are selected through a competitive application process. Plans are in motion to expand these opportunities to other nursing programs.
