UTMB President and UTMB Health System CEO Jochen Reiser, MD, PhD and UTMB faculty were in attendance with William McKeon, CEO and President of the Texas Medical Center. Mr. McKeon served as key speaker of the event, celebrating the growth and delivery of life sciences in the World's Largest Medical Center.

The Innovation Team proudly represented our organization at the Galveston Economic Development Partnership Annual Summit, hosted at Texas A&M University Galveston Campus. The summit brought together business leaders, educators, researchers, and policymakers to explore strategies that advance Galveston’s economic growth, sustainability, and innovation ecosystem.
The University of Texas Medical Branch featured a remarkable panel with Jochen Reiser, MD, PhD; Vineet Gupta, PhD; Shikha Wadhwani, MD, MS, FASN; Harsh Thaker, MD, PhD; Craig Kovacevich, MA; and Peter McCaffrey, MD, MS, FCAP highlighting how UTMB is leveraging artificial intelligence and emerging technologies today to enhance research, healthcare delivery, and operational efficiency — and to explore what the next era of innovation will bring.
