On Dec. 9, UTMB held its first review of the Innovation, Discovery & Technology Commercialization (IDEA) Grants. A conglomeration of research fund contributors -- including Moody Brain Health Institute, Sealy Institute for Drug Discovery, Department of Internal Medicine, GNL, Development Office, and the Office of Innovation -- distributed merit-based awards earlier in the year with the requirement to present updates. Fifteen grant recipients gave their progress over the course of the day which made for an exciting day of cutting-edge research.
