Do you have PDFs of book chapters or journal articles posted online for your students?
Course readings, even those available on Blackboard, must be accessible according to ADA Title II. If you are sharing a PDF instead of linking to the article, you are responsible for the accessibility of the file shared. Alternatively, linking to the article on the publisher’s website ensures that the publishers are responsible for accessibility.
The links available to copy in the browser’s address bar are not always reliable or will not always work if you or your learners are off campus. Don’t worry! UTMB Librarians can help you to create proxied links to articles or book chapters. These links will work on- and off- campus and can be used in Blackboard content or sharing via email.
