The School of Nursing is proud to report a 96% NCLEX first-attempt pass rate for 2025. Our students continue to perform above both state and national averages. The NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination) is a standardized, pass/fail exam that nursing graduates must pass to obtain their nursing license in the United States. It verifies that a candidate has the critical thinking and clinical judgment skills needed to practice safely as an entry-level nurse.
Additionally, the SON reports strong graduate certification exam results for 2024–2025, with performance exceeding benchmarks across all specialty tracks. A nursing graduate certification exam validates clinical knowledge and qualifications after completing a specialized degree, like an MSN or DNP degree. Depending on a nurse's specialty and degree, they must pass a national board exam to obtain their official certification and practice license.
Congratulations to our SON graduates as well as the faculty members who provided excellent preparation for these critical exams.
