As we prepare for the next academic year, know that your librarians are here to support you and your students. Your library liaison can provide specialized, structured support for instruction to embed in your courses.
Examples include:
Ensure literature-based assignments work
Provide customized instruction to support assignments (synchronously or asynchronously)
Ensure embedded instruction scaffolds on previous searching experiences in your program
Create course guides to make access to assigned readings easy for students to access
Embed in Blackboard to answer literature and appraisal questions
If you have students who need extra literature support, you can refer them to the Library. Reference Librarians can meet with students (in person or via Teams) to give them individualized help. In addition, there is a Library Training Resources Guide designed to share with students who might be new to or need a refresher in scholarly research processes. Evidence demonstrates that embedded librarians reinforce research skills of students.
