Walktober Wellness Challenge

The Walktober Wellness Challenge is a 30-day walking initiative designed to inspire the UTMB community to make walking a daily habit. Walktober is rooted in one of the core principles of the Blue Zones, Move Naturally. In the world's longest-lived communities, movement isn't something people schedule as a workout, it is simply built into daily life. Walktober challenges participants to intentionally dedicate 20 minutes each day to walking, whether during the workday, between classes, before work, after work, or with coworkers, friends, family, or classmates. The goal isn’t speed or distance, it's consistency!

Beyond the daily walking goal, Walktober will feature fun engagement activities throughout the month, weekly educational and motivational themes, bonus challenges, and signature walking experiences. Walking together, one step at a time, we're building a healthier, more connected UTMB community.
