Dr. Molldrem presents to international pathogen genomics consortium

On February 27th, UTMB Bioethics and Health Humanities Assistant Professor Dr. Stephen Molldrem presented to the Social Science and Ethics Working Group of the international “Phylogenetics And Networks for Generalised Epidemics in Africa” (PANGEA) consortium. His talk was titled “Molecular HIV Surveillance and Cluster Detection and Response Programs in the United States: Understanding the Controversy and its Stakes.” Dr. Molldrem’s remarks addressed the relevance of ongoing controversies in the US over these programs to international stakeholders working in genomic epidemiology.
