Amber received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Winona, in Winona, MN. After a couple of years, Amber started working in an office and discovered that her true passion was to help others as an administrative professional. Amber moved to Texas in 2012 and has been working at UTMB ever since. She has been working with the department of Preventive Medicine and Population Health since March 2018 and serves as the Education Program Manager for many programs under the department including the Bioethics and Health Humanities program. Some of her duties include admissions and recruitment for prospective students, and administrative tasks for the current students. When Amber is not at work, she likes to organize anything she can get her hands on and crochet.

Marcy started her professional career at the University in 1991 with the Moody Medical Library. In 2006, she was given the opportunity to become part of the Institute for Bioethics and Health Humanities (IBHH). In 2016 Marcy was assigned to work with the Clinical Ethics Program Director as an Administrative Coordinator. Currently, Marcy works with numerous IBHH/PMPH faculty members handling day-to-day operational administrative duties. Marcy has performed in an administrative capacity for over 33 years.  In her spare time, Marcy enjoys running half marathons, maintaining a physical fitness program, and spending quality time with her grandchildren, her husband and family. A personal enjoyment of hers is crafting rosaries for the University Pastoral Care-Hospital Chaplaincy.
