The UTMB Health Institute for the Medical Humanities is pleased to announce that the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities (ASBH) has recognized it with the 2012 Cornerstone Award.
The Cornerstone Award is considered to be the highest honor ASBH can bestow upon an institution and recognizes "outstanding, enduring contributions by an institution that has deeply enriched and/or helped shape the direction of the fields of bioethics and/or the medical humanities".
The award was presented to the Director of the Institute, Dr. Howard Brody, at the ASBH's Annual Meeting in Washington, DC in October 2012.
