The UTMB Health Institute for the Medical Humanities is pleased to share that the Smith College Museum of Art has recently acquired several pieces of art created by faculty member Eric Avery, MD.
The pieces purchased by the museum are among Dr. Avery's work that focus on HIV/AIDS, and will be included as part of an exhibition planned for the fall of 2015.
The next major exhibition of Dr. Avery's work is currently planned for October to December 2014 at Louisiana State University's Glassell Gallery in Baton Rouge. The exhibition,
"Eric Avery, M.D.–HIV/AIDS: Witness, Healer, Survivor", will begin with an opening reception on October 30th at 6pm.
