The UTMB Health Institute for the Medical Humanities would like to congratulate graduate student Heather Pearcy on being accepted for an internship with the Sealy Center for Vaccine Development (SCVD) and WHO Collaborating Center for Vaccine Research, Education and Training on Emerging Infectious Diseases (WHO CC). Dr. Pearcy's internship will take place from May through August 2015.
Ms. Pearcy will be working on a review of Phase III and Phase IV clinical trials of influenza vaccine studies at the headquarters of WHO in Geneva, Switzerland under the direction of WHO mentors, Justin Ortiz, MD and Philip Lambach, MD, as well as the Sealy Center's Alan Barrett, MD.
Ms. Pearsy entered the Medical Humanities Graduate Program in 2013. Her advisor is Cheryl Vaiani, PhD.
