The Health Education Center (HEC) at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) has been awarded full accreditation from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. Widely recognized as the gold standard in health care simulation, the accreditation acknowledges exceptional performance in this vital aspect of health care education and training.
UTMB achieved accreditation by meeting the Society for Simulation in Healthcare’s rigorous standards in the Core, Teaching/Education, and Assessment domains. This prestigious accreditation makes UTMB the first institution in the University of Texas System to earn recognition in all three categories, joining the top 10 percent of simulation centers in the United States accredited at this level.
