Research in the Lab
The DePaoli Taylor Lab focuses on conducting epidemiologic investigations to identify immunological biomarkers that indicate women who will develop pregnancy complications including preeclampsia and preterm birth. Other research has focused on identifying pathways associated with the progression of Chlamydia trachomatis genital tract disease. The lab also works on community-based projects addressing gender and racial/ethnic syndemics for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in youth and understanding the impact of STIs on adverse pregnancy outcomes.
