Kathia Johnson

Kathia Johnson joined the Provost’s Office in January 2024. Kathia is a Biosafety Specialist who supports the Academic and Research Enterprises by providing instruction on safe work practices in laboratories.   

Before joining the Provost’s Office, Kathia worked for 25 years at UTMB for various departments and research laboratories, where her work experience has included spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury and Alzheimer’s disease research, along with surgical and biosafety training.
