Michael Turner

Michael L. Turner joined UTMB’s Office of the Provost as the Director of Business Analytics and Intelligence in July 2022.  Prior to that, he worked at UT Health San Antonio since 2007 in various Finance and Information Technology roles with concentrations in data management, data warehousing, financial analysis and reporting, budgeting, and application and analytical systems development.  He enjoys marrying business needs with information technology solutions. 

Michael graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in economics.  He is originally from San Angelo TX, a longtime San Antonio resident, and happily living on Galveston Island since coming to work for UTMB.  He has been married to Paula Turner since 1991 and they have three sons, Kade, Camden and Koen.  When not working he enjoys spending time with family, cooking and the outdoors, especially fishing, boating and time at the beach.
