Dr. Mediha Ahmad is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston. She earned her undergraduate degrees at Tulane University in New Orleans, where she was a member of the Dean’s Honors Program and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts, receiving departmental honors in 2009. She went on to complete her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 2014. Dr. Ahmad completed her residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Louisville in 2019. Prior to joining the faculty at UTMB, she practiced in Texas for several years.
She is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and is certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). Her clinical areas of interest include breast and lung cancers. She is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate cancer care.
