Congratulations to former Medical Student Training in Aging Research (MSTAR) graduating medical student Wilma Afunugo, this year’s recipient of the Edward J and Ellie Weisiger Lefeber, Sr Prize in Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology. This prize is awarded to a student who has demonstrated exceptional scholarly work in aging.

Ms. Afunugo recently published a paper as the first author, Pain, obesity, and physical function in Mexican American older adults during 20 years of follow-up.
