Lunch & Learns for Older Adults in the Community

The Sealy Center on Aging is offering a summer series of Lunch & Learn programs for older adults in association with Seaside Seniors, a group that meets weekly in Galveston.  If you are not a member of Seaside Seniors, RSVP is required to attend at 409-266-9647 or alwillia@utmb.edu.  Please see below for a tentative schedule of events. 

Please plan to arrive by 11:15 AM.

  • June 9:  St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dr. Rafael Samper-Ternent, UTMB Sealy Center on Aging - “Healthy Brain, Healthy Aging”
  • July 7:  Moody Methodist Church, Jennifer Young, NP, Tammie Michael, NP, and Jessica den Herder, NP, UTMB Geriatrics House Calls Program - “Hurricane Preparedness and Resources for Older Adults”
  • July 21: St. Augustine of Hippo Episcopal, Dr. Rizwana Sultana, UTMB Internal Medicine – “Sleep Problems and Aging”
  • July 28: Grace Episcopal Church, Jake Trione, Certified Master Fitness Trainer & Functional Aging Specialist, Co-Owner TriFitness Gym and John Adiletta, Co-Owner, TriFitness Gym* - "Physical Activity & Aging"
