Christine
Arcari, PhD, MPH, a former member of the SIVS Executive Committee,
is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean for Academic and Student
Affairs at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She
received her PhD in epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School
of
Public Health, and an MPH in Community and Family Health from the
University of
South Florida, College of Public Health. In
recognition of the quality of her educational efforts, Dr. Arcari was
awarded the 2010,
2015 and 2016 UTMB Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences Teaching
Excellence
Award for Population Health Sciences and held a Distinguished Teaching
Professor title for the UTMB Academy of Master Teachers. Her scholarly
activities are focused in the areas of creating healthier communities
and public
health education, with an emphasis on cultivating academic-practice partnerships.
