Sana Malik serves as the Business Manager for the Department of Aerospace Medicine at UTMB, where she oversees financial management, grants and contracts, external agreements, human resources, operations, procurement, and infrastructure. She supports the department's strategic and operational goals through effective resource management, compliance oversight, and process improvement.
Prior to joining Aerospace Medicine, Sana served as Program Manager for Research supporting the Departments of Surgery, Anesthesiology, and Dermatology at UTMB, managing federal, state, and industry-sponsored grants and leading cross-functional teams. An international medical graduate, she brings a unique combination of clinical knowledge and administrative expertise to academic medicine and is currently pursuing a dual Master of Healthcare Administration and Master of Business Administration (MHA/MBA).
