Enhanced Cancer Research Outcomes Through UTMB's EHR Data Integration

While cancer databases like SEER and SEER-Medicare serve as critical sources for cancer research, they often lack comprehensive patient data and longitudinal records. This seminar introduces an enhanced database using UTMB's EHR system, which offers a more detailed and longitudinal view of patient care. By integrating rich EHR data, including clinical measurements and notes, we can present a complete picture of patient care. During this seminar, we will discuss the advantages of this integration, explore potential applications, and highlight challenges such as data quality and privacy.
