Sivatmika Palanisami

Sivatmika Palanisami (she/her) is a first year MPH student with a concentration in Bioethics at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Born in Atlanta, GA, she moved to Dallas, TX at the age of 3. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas. Her research interests include maternal/fetal health, reproductive ethics, global health/public health policy, and health equity. She hopes the pursue a PhD in public health policy after graduation. She also hopes to pursue a career as a public health policy advisor within the U.S. government and professor of public health.
