Application Requirements
All applications to the MD/MPH program should be submitted through SOPHAS Express. The deadline for the current cycle is June 15, 2026.
- Official transcripts: Applicants must have completed a bachelor's, graduate, or professional degree (or the foreign equivalent) at a regionally accredited institution with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Resume/Curriculum Vitae
- Letter of Recommendation: Only one letter of recommendation is required for applicants to the certificate program. It is highly recommended that the letter come from an individual who can speak to the applicant's academic abilities.
- Personal Statement: This essay must describe the applicant's past education, work/volunteer experiences, and career objectives. Applicants are encouraged to describe their interest in the certificate program, area(s) of research/professional
interest, interest in UTMB, and how the certificate will apply to their career goals.
