Welcome to Material Management Purchasing Department





The Materials Management Purchasing Department is responsible for securing the purchase of supplies for The University of Texas Medical Branch.

We ensure efficient and cost-effective practices, operating under the framework of Texas State law, Texas Procurement and Support Services (TPASS), the University of Texas System Board of Regents Rules and Regulations, and institutional policies and procedures.

Materials Management Purchasing supports UTMB's Clinical, Research, Academic, and Business entities. Our inventory buyers are responsible for monitoring stock levels to keep roughly a 2 week supply on hand; order processing; vendor/supplier management; and customer support.

Materials Management Purchasing manages orders for stocked product for all Omnicell and Optiflex units across campus and Galveston, League City, and Angleton supply rooms.
