Office of Institutional Effectiveness
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness
serves to advance UTMB's mission, vision and effectiveness by
facilitating institutional accreditation, coordinating ongoing
programmatic assessment, and reporting key academic performance metrics
to federal, state, and professional organizations.
What we do:
- Facilitating institutional accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and encouraging ongoing compliance with SACSCOC principles of accreditation
- Coordinating ongoing assessment of educational programs and the university’s quality enhancement plan (QEP)
- Providing support for program level accreditation and discipline specific accrediting bodies
- Reporting key academic performance metrics to federal, state, and professional organizations
- Providing process expertise in the approval of new academic programs and substantial changes to existing programs
- Conducting general institutional research and data analysis
