Waco is located between Dallas and Austin situated along I-35 and the Brazos River, making it the perfect up and coming city in Texas. Waco offers a very rich history, including surviving a great F5 tornado that tore through its downtown in 1953, being home to the Waco Siege that occurred in 1993 that involved the Branch Davidians and FBI standoff, and being one of the paramount mammoth sites in the world.

Waco is now one of the hottest tourist destinations taking in more than 2 million visitors per year thanks to Chip and Joanna Gaines hit TV show Fixer Upper and Magnolia Market. The Gaines and Magnolia influence spreads throughout Waco from their main location Magnolia Market in the Silo District, to their restaurant Magnolia Table, to their bed and breakfast Magnolia House located just outside of Waco. Magnolia Market is now the temporary home for Church Under the Bridge which hosts a large group of homeless and underserved individuals.  Baylor University is located in Waco and has a student population just under 17,000 and boasts great sports programs for students, locals, and travelers alike to enjoy. Waco is also home to Dr Pepper and the Dr Pepper museum which has fun tours for the entire family.

Also located in the Texas AHEC East-Waco Region is Ft. Hood, the most populous US military installation in the world located in Bell County.
