The Slips, Trips, and Falls Among Gulf Coast Shrimpers Project was started to increase worker health and safety. We are researching the dangers of the shrimping industry – which we know is one of the deadliest jobs in the US – and asking shrimpers in Galveston and the Rio Grande Valley to offer suggestions, input, and advice about how to decrease these dangers.

El proyecto Resbalones, tropiezos y caídas entre camaroneros de la costa del Golfo se inició para aumentar la salud y la seguridad de los trabajadores. Estamos investigando los peligros de la industria del camarón, que sabemos que es uno de los trabajos más mortíferos en los EE. UU., y solicitamos a los camaroneros de Galveston y el Valle del Río Grande que ofrezcan sugerencias, aportes y consejos sobre cómo disminuir estos peligros.
