Faculty Excellence Awards

The Faculty Excellence Awards are an opportunity to recognize and celebrate outstanding faculty members who exemplify excellence in their respective arenas. There are four categories in which a faculty member may be nominated:

  • Excellence in Clinical Service
  • Excellence in Education
  • Excellence in Mentorship
  • Excellence in Research

UTMB Faculty are encouraged to consider the contributions faculty have made in each of these arenas and nominate those who have demonstrated exceptional commitment, innovation, and impact in key areas of academia.

Nominations are due: April 24, 2026 by 12 p.m. CDT
Nominations should be submitted as a single PDF with faculty member photo submitted as a separate JPEG and sent to facultyaffairs@UTMB.EDU.

Winners will be recognized at the Faculty Recognition Reception on September 10, 2026.

Lifetime Achievement Awards

UTMB is excited to honor our faculty with the Lifetime Achievement Awards, recognizing faculty whose long-standing dedication, excellence, and impact have significantly shaped our institution and their respective fields.

The award celebrates individuals who have demonstrated exceptional contributions to clinical service, education, and research throughout the course of their careers. 

We will be celebrating Lifetime Achievement Awards in three categories:

  • Lifetime Achievement in Clinical Service
  • Lifetime Achievement in Education
  • Lifetime Achievement in Research

UTMB Faculty are encouraged to nominate faculty who have made a profound and lasting impact in their respective fields and influenced future generations of professionals.

Nominations are due: April 24, 2026 by 12 p.m. CDT
