Through interactive workshop-style sessions, explore evidence-based teaching practices for today's learner:
- Communicating expectations to learners
- Application of active learning strategies to increase engagement
- Selecting appropriate assessment strategies
- Using evaluation tools for quality improvement

*Participants must attend all 3 days of the bootcamp to receive a certificate of completion
*CME, CNE, and CE (for Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Care) credits available. (Nine contact hours)

Joint Accreditation Statement: In support of improving patient care, The Office of Interprofessional Continuing Education, The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
AMA Credit Designation Statement: The Office of Interprofessional Continuing Education, The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) designates this live activity for a maximum of 9 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
ANCC Credit Designation Statement: The Office of Interprofessional Continuing Education, The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) designates this live activity for a maximum of 9 ANCC nursing contact hours. Attendees should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
ASWB Credit Designation Statement: As a Jointly Accredited Organization, The Office of Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE), The University of Texas Medical Branch is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards have the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 9 continuing education credits.
CDR Credit Designation Statement: This activity is designated for 9 CDR CPEUs. Completion of this RD/DTR profession specific or IPCE activity awards CPEUs (One IPCE credit = one CPEU). If the activity is dietetics-related but not targeted to RDs or DTRs, CPEUs may be claimed which are commensurate with participation in contact hours. RDs and DTRs are to select activity type 102 in their Activity Log. Sphere and Competency selection is at the learner’s discretion.

Occupational Therapy Credit Designation Statement: The Texas Occupational Therapy Association (TOTA) Continuing Education Review Committee has approved this course for the following: 9 contact hours, TOTA approval # 1889. Attendees should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Respiratory Care Credit Designation Statement: This course has been approved by the Texas Society for Respiratory Care for 9 hours of CRCE. Attendees should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Clinical Laboratory Sciences Credit Designation Statement: UTMB CLS Program is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. ® Program. This course is approved for 9 contact hours of P.A.C.E. ®credit. Attendees should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
