HEC Personnel Achievements

Kelly Grace, PhD, Education Assessment Specialist, has been selected for the inaugural Advancing Simulation Careers and Empowering Next-Generation Development (ASCEND) Program by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). Out of a highly competitive global pool, Dr. Grace was one of only 20 individuals recognized by SSH as early-career simulationists exemplifying leadership, advocacy, and boundary-spanning behavior.

Through the ASCEND program, Dr. Grace will benefit from a full year of mentorship, networking opportunities, and insights into SSH operations—an achievement that not only brings recognition to UTMB but also positions her as an emerging leader within the global simulation community.

 

Ennert Manyeza, BS, RRT, CHSOS, Simulation Specialist, has successfully become a Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) through the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. This certification is a testament to expertise in healthcare simulation operations at the Health Education Center at UTMB.

 

Kelly Grace, PhD, Richard Briley, MEd, CHSE, and Bruce Adcock, MEd, RRT-NPS, CHSE, have been invited to present at the 25th Society for Simulation in Healthcare International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare. Their presentation will focus on the findings of their recent study titled, The Interrelated Technology Assessment Tool (ITAT): Measuring Health Profession Students’ Virtual Reality User Experience.


Kelly Grace, PhD, and Katie Branch, PhD, MSN, RN, FNAP, CHSE, had an abstract accepted to the Ninth World Conference on Qualitative Research for a collaborative research project titled, Building research capacity in higher education through mentoring professional development: A cross-disciplinary comparative autoethnographic study in the US and Norway.
