Dear colleagues,
One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is witnessing faculty members grow in knowledge, confidence, and impact as they pursue meaningful and fulfilling careers.
Recently, we have had the pleasure of supporting faculty at every stage of their journey, from welcoming new colleagues at New Faculty Orientation to honoring those who’ve reached significant milestones at the annual Newly Promoted Professors’ Dinner. These moments of celebration and connection reflect our deep commitment to faculty success.
Beyond these events, the Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) works year-round to provide resources and programming that empower faculty to thrive. I am happy to share a comprehensive overview of OFA’s offerings, including exciting new series on topics such as artificial intelligence, financial literacy, and retirement planning. Each initiative is thoughtfully designed to enrich your professional experience and support your aspirations.
As we approach the end of the semester and the holiday season, I hope you find time to reflect on where you are in your career trajectory, what you have achieved in 2025, and what your plans are for 2026. I also hope you will be able to take much needed rest utilizing your remaining PTO and recharge. I encourage you to explore the opportunities ahead and engage with the programs that align with your goals. Together, we continue to build a vibrant, supportive academic community.
Sincerely,
Susan Chubinskaya, PhD, MS
Senior Vice President and Provost (Interim)
