Becky Katchmark, DC, PSP, has accepted the position of Director of Simulation and will join us at UTMB on July 13, 2026.
Dr. Katchmark is an accomplished health professions educator and academic leader with more than 15 years of experience in clinical practice and medical education. She currently serves as Assistant Professor of Clinical Sciences and Course Director at Rocky Vista University in Billings, Montana, where she provides oversight of human and non-human simulation activities within the longitudinal clinical skills and musculoskeletal curricula for the Osteopathic medical program. In this role, she also contributes to curriculum integration, faculty development, and competency-based assessment initiatives.
Dr. Katchmark earned her Doctor of Chiropractic and Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Northwestern Health Sciences University. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing simulation and clinical skills education in ways that enhance learner outcomes, strengthen faculty effectiveness, and support institutional priorities. Her expertise includes curriculum development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the implementation of data-informed strategies to support continuous quality improvement.
She has also led innovative work in simulation and near-peer education, helping expand instructional capacity and foster meaningful student engagement across the preclinical curriculum. Dr. Katchmark is recognized for her collaborative leadership style, practical approach to innovation, and dedication to preparing future healthcare professionals to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.
