Dear colleagues,
I am proud to share the inaugural Provost’s Report, “Excellence and Impact of the Academic Enterprise.” This report, reflecting the state of our Academic Enterprise in FY25, offers a compelling look at the extraordinary work you do every day: advancing health, preparing the next generation of healthcare leaders, strengthening our communities, and so much more.
From nationally recognized academic programs and groundbreaking research to meaningful faculty development opportunities, there is much to celebrate. The breadth and depth of our collective impact are truly remarkable. I am delighted to share this report first with you – our outstanding UTMB faculty, whose dedication and excellence make these accomplishments possible.
I also want to recognize the successful academic year we are concluding. I hope you take pride in all that you have achieved. As our students and trainees graduate and step into the next phase of their journeys, please know that your mentorship and commitment have been instrumental to their success. We have no shortage of successes to showcase in our next report!
I encourage you to take time in the coming months to rest, recharge, and care for yourselves. Prioritizing rest is essential; it enables us to continue showing up at our very best for those we serve. Thank you for all that you do to advance our mission and extend our impact.
Sincerely yours,
Susan Chubinskaya, PhD, MS
