Ms. Latiolais began working with patients in the Family Medicine Clinics as a social worker in January of 2021.

Ms. Latiolais earned a Bachelor of Art from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. She earned a Master of Social Work from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. 

Ms. Latiolais is licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Ms. Latiolais provides psychological and emotional support to patients and their families, including identifying their needs, connecting them with available resources, advocating, and facilitating communication between patients and the health care team. She has over 23 years of social work experience, including 10 years of inpatient social work with the Texas Transplant Center here at UTMB Health.

Ms. Latiolais particular interests include promoting healthy lifestyles, integrated health and wellness, sports psychology including coping with sports related injuries, behavioral medicine, assisting patients with weight loss goals using Cognitive Behavior Therapy, working with Anxiety related issues using CBT, teaching healthy coping skills and use of meditation and mindfulness in therapy.
