Family Medicine Seminar on Strolling Through the Match

The UTMB Health Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG) hosted its annual Strolling Through the Match event on Thursday, August 14, 2014 in the Primary Care Pavilion. This year more than 40 students attended the seminar.

Students who attended were treated to a lively interactive discussion of the perils and possibilities of the residency match process. The featured guests included Sam Wang, MD, Associate Director of the Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program in Sugarland, Burritt Hess, MD from the Waco Family Medicine Residency Program, and UTMB Health’s own Tricia Elliott, Director of the UTMB Health Family Medicine Residency Program and Julie McKee, MD, Family Medicine faculty physician. Also participating on the panel were second-year resident Dimple Desai from the UTMB Health Family Medicine Residency Program, and two former UTMB Health Medical students who are currently residents from the Conroe Family Medicine Residency Program,
