A big congratulations goes out to family medicine physician

Theresa Landry for receiving top awards in the
2018 Galveston.com - Best of the Island Awards. These awards are
the Oscars of the Gulf Coast according to the Houston Chronicle. Dr. Porterfield received the Bronze Award for Best Physician and Theresa won the Gold Award for Best Nurse.
All autumn long, a record-breaking number of visitors to Galveston.com nominated their favorite people, places, and organizations in a host of categories. From those nominations, the TOP FIVE VOTE RECIPIENTS IN EACH CATEGORY (sometimes more due to ties in votes), were named Finalists. Afterward, tens of thousands of votes were cast, with the TOP THREE VOTE RECIPIENTS IN EACH CATEGORY capturing Gold, Silver, and Bronze prizes. Congratulations to all of this years winners, all who were nominated and those who took the time to vote!
