  • Erin earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from The University of Texas at Austin, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the UTMB School of Nursing, and a Master of Science in Nursing through UTMB's Family Nurse Practitioner program. She began her nursing career in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at John Sealy Hospital and went on to practice in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. She joined UTMB Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine in 2017, where her work focused on pulmonary and sleep disorders. Her clinical interests include obstructive sleep apnea and innovative treatment options. During her time in Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine, Erin contributed to clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and academic collaborations related to sleep apnea. She also helped develop UTMB's Hypoglossal Nerve Stimulation program and collaborated with UTMB and community partners at St. Vincent's House to expand access to CPAP therapy for uninsured patients with obstructive sleep apnea. Erin also served as a board member of the Galveston County United Board of Health.

  • Diana Bernardez completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Behavior at the University of California at Irvine. She then went on to complete her Bachelor of Nursing at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona in 2012 and her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX in 2019. Diana joined UTMB in 2022 as an Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner for the Geriatric House Call Program. She is a member of organizations such as the Galveston Coalition of Advanced Practice Nurses, the Texas Nurse Practitioner Association, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
